Photographers & Hello

I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Meredith, I'm getting married October 2006, I've been with my FH for 10 years. I come here and look aoften, but haven't really been doing any wedding stuff, so I haven't introduced myself or really had anything to say. I am just starting now. I know for sure that I've already seen this posted, but like I said, I'm just starting out now, so sorry for the repeats. I've just started pricing photographers and OMG! I can't believ how expensive they are! Can anyone clue me in on who they are using and maybe what price ranges are 'normal'? Thanks!

Hi! We are using The Velvet Studio in huntington and its costing us around $5k for photo and video... we got a big package w/ 2 photographers, etc...

We recently had our engagment pics done, which was included in the package: Our pics!!

Using Christina Bohn, and paying $2800 which is without albums.

I would say without albums, average cost is about $1500 - $3000

With albums expect to pay anywhere from $2500 - $6000

I met with her she is sooo nice and her work is awesome.

The only thing I can stress is that I personally preferred and individual over a studio. Some studios dont even let you meet your photographer.

we are using timexposures. its all digital and costing us $2300 includes album with all special effects (50 images), 50 fold over thank yous, we are getting the proofs on the cd in high resolution so we can print extras at any point in time (that cost $300) as well as printed proofs (600-800), a few larger pics, i am sure i am forgetting stuff, but thats the important stuff for us. i am so happy with our decision. good luck

We are using Hilite-been in bus for many years and the package is only 1495!! Best deal out there-believe me i looked, however its traditional not journalistic..

We think we are going to use Kevin Lysaght. You won't find him anywhere on this website, but he is on the knot and also I found him on craigslist. His work is absolutely awesome...he is a young, friendly guy. It is going to be $2,000 for him, the proofs and an album for us consisting of 40 pictures (8X10s)...check out his website, it's

I am using Chuck at Artisan - he is a super great guy and I am SO glad we are using him. We are paying a bit over $4000 with over 800 proofs, a magazine style album, two upgraded parents magazine style albums, an extra photographer for photojournalism and some other stuff too. Def check him out!
