Realistically, can you find a good (and I stress good) photographer under $2000 whose packages include Unlimited pic, 9-10 hours coverage, 12 x 12 album, e-pics, high resolution images??
I've gone to 2-3 appointments already and have another 3 set up and the prices I am getting is way over 3k.
FH is making me a crazy woman because he seems to think it nuts to spend that kind of money on a photographer. HIS budget is 3K for photographer AND vidoegraphy!! I am like you a crazy man??
We're having a difficult time coming to a understanding about photography/videography and he thinks it stupid to spend 5k on some taking pics. I've tried the 'I'll pay for it with my money.' His response - 'well we can put that money towards something for the house we'er buyng.' Now dont get me wrong. We HAVE ALREADY put aside enough money for a DOWNPAYMENT AND FURNTURE.
I'm basically going bonkers here because we've been arguing for the past 3-4 days about this and getting NOWHERE.
I am sorry for the long post!! And advice??

The albums are the part. My friends brother (a photog) said those bound album books cost the photog around $700 before any pics are put in. I'm not sure if that price is accurate, but it sounds like a lot to me.

I personally want the photographer to do the albums and wouldnt mind spending more for it, but FH is driving me nuts, so I want to make appointments and kinds of compare prices and quality of work with them.
Thanks Tg's Lady. I have appointments with them next week - do they do lots of photojournallistic pics also?
Luckily, with twelfth night, you can order the album after your wedding so you can use the money you receive from your wedding to pay for the album.

This is true and I was kind of annoyed at first when I met with them about this. However, it does end up being cheaper than ordering the pictures through your photographer. All your pics are given to you on a high res CD, you can't beat the prices of the online photo stores

thats actually not that bad, ALOT of albums are in the thousands price range, so in the hundred is good..Usually parents albums are close to 700

yea we priced it out and it does come out to a better price than other photog.
