Hi everyone - I really need some input on this... What is everyone spending (approx.) on photo & video? I've been looking at a few places and have been quoted the mid- 6000's for a combo package. I know that the time of year and day (saturday) I'm getting married is kind of a significant factor in the price, but I wanted to get a good idea of what others are paying so I have something to compare this to. Thanks for your help!!

That is definitely making me feel better. I really thought that was high, but I didn't have much to compare it to. Everyone that I've gotten input from had booked a few years ago and prices were a bit different...

5K for me at Duet's top package. The prices went up by 700 for 2004. Call them and see what they can work out , ask for Nicole
OK you guys are going to kill me but I'm confused - when you say 3k for both, do you mean you're paying 3k for video and photo TOGETHER or is that 3k for each one (totalling 6k for the whole thing)?

She means 3K combined. Their promotional package is at $3,700 now.

We're paying about 5400 for both.
I work in photo industry and was very picky about who we chose both for quality of work and price.
Also remember it's very importat that you are comfortable with your photographer. YOu don't want to look like you hare being photographed by a stranger.
