My FI and I really just have to decide on our photographer and videographer... We have a pretty good list of people we want to talk to but before we make all of these appointments, we'd appreciate any feedback and/or info you could give us if you've met with or used any of these vendors before... Duet was cool. They had a great work and I know that tons of girls on this site adore them. But they were out of our price range.
Patken was nice, nice work - but I heard you should meet with Doug. We didn't meet with him and really didn't like the woman we met at the Mineola location.
I recommend you check out Silverfox and Twelfth Night as well. I know I am biased cause I am using SF, but I really loved their stuff (and their prices!)

I'm using Jeffrey Studios for Photojournalism, Video and Pics. I love talking with the owner Allan. He made me feel very comfortable and I loved their pics.

I used Lavender and I loved them. They were not in my face at all. When we got the proofs back, DH said he didn't even remember our photographer taking half of them.

We used Patken and Im not 100 % thrilled..if you go with them..be VERY specific with what you want. They have been great to work with though,just not really what I wanted...anyhow, we used Wild Rose for video..only have the raw footage,so far so good!!

We booked Doug at Patken, In my opinion, he was the most qualified. I felt Duet only stressed price not quality. Loved imagine Photos, video was okay. Lia was super nice. But in the end Doug to me was worth the extra money. He seems very original
