Help !!! I got a couple of quotes for Photogarphy and video.. They are so expensive... Like 8,000.. Its very upsetting.. any suggestions ..Is that the average price ??!!!

$8000 for Photography? I think that's a bit (actually more than a bit) over the average. Are they doing video too? If so, then I don't know video prices...does that at least include an album!?

That's about my price too for both together. I booked with Glenmar Studios. Loved all their albums. Very photojournalistic.

We're paying $4K for Photography- Twelfth Night $3K for Video- Wild Rose
You will find though , that everything depends on what package you get. For this price, I am getting 2 photographers, enlargements, DVD slideshow set to music I forget the number of chapters and a CD with all of our proofs, our album and an engagement shoot. (I will be making parent albums myself). Our thank you cards will be designed for us, we can print ourselves for cheaper.
The Video includes 2 videographers with HD camera and 3 videos.
We could have hired our same companies for around $4grand combined, we just upgraded our package. Hope this helps!

My package is $6500, includes two photos, video, three albums and videos, e-pics, thank you cards, and a first baby shoot.

It's not surprising to pay 8K. Alot of well known photog's charge around there especially if you include albums.
Is that photog WORTH 8k? maybe he/she is and if you have that money to spend I say go for it.

I'm paying less than $5K for photography only. That comes with all proofs, our album, 2 parent albums, some loose photos, a portrait, 2 8x10s and 2 photogs. And it's a digitial album. 8K seems like an awful lot.

I'm paying less than 4500 for both photo and video, and didn't really have to sacrifice anything besides hard copy proofs (helllllllo snapfish 85 bucks!)

Check out Duet Photography. A lot of girls on here are using them so I went to meet with them and they gave me the best price - $4900 for photography and video and that includes parents' albums, thank you's, 8x10, 11x16, all of the proof, etc.
