Help !!! I got a couple of quotes for Photogarphy and video.. They are so expensive... Like 8,000.. Its very upsetting.. any suggestions ..Is that the average price ??!!!

I'm paying about $5,000 for both video and photog with 2 parent albums, one album for us (all 3 are coffee table books); all our proofs, pictures on CD, website, thank you's, 6 5x7's and 1 11x14; 1 unedited DVD; 3 edited dvds.

Actually, for a quality photographer and videographer, I found most of the quotes to be in the $7-8k range. You have to look at what you're getting. I'm getting a lot of photos in my album (including extras for special effects on a page - 2+ pics overlapping, for example). We are also getting several copies of the video as well as parents albums. And I'm getting the highest quality album for FH and me. So it really depends on what you're looking for.
Photog and videog are really important to us.

Check out Duet Photography. A lot of girls on here are using them so I went to meet with them and they gave me the best price - $4900 for photography and video and that includes parents' albums, thank you's, 8x10, 11x16, all of the proof, etc.
i second Duet they do beautiful photography as i have seen on here and from their albums. Their customer service is fabolous they get back to you on a timely fashion and their prices are not bad at all.

I pay $1795 for videography from Ariana Studios (3 dvds, edited from bride getting ready to the end of reception). For photography I am using Amanda Picone (great work...check her out)- She charges us $1800 (unlimited photos proof and edited, bride getting ready to the end of reception, photo album for bride and groom, 1 extra album for parent and a youtube DVD slideshow)
I love Amanda Picone's work (she did my epics, my boudoir pics and will be doing my bridal shower and my wedding.)

Depends on your photog. I'm going with Duet and it's around 4,000 for photo and video. I'm not getting a lot of the other things, though.
Also, it depends on your photog. Some are way more expensive and WORTH IT if you're into photography. Some are just way more expensive.
The best photographer I found was Mariann from Blue Daisy. Right up there with her was Yun Gen Yang (yangphoto.com). Also, Anjelica Glass. I could afford NONE of them, but I loved their work, and if I could have swung it, I would have gladly paid for their talents.
As it is, though, I'm very happy with Duet. I think they are talented photographers, and the price is reasonable.
However, when I first started looking, I was blown away by the cost of photogs. DEFINITELY sticker shock. Good luck!

It all depends (what is it including0 and how do you feel about the style of the photographer? You can still search around 8000 seems to be a little too much but then again i dont know whats included.
