They seemed really nice - but I felt that it was more of a factory type place. I was looking for someone more personal. I booked with Marco Photography.

Re: Photography-ADA Studios
my fi and i are using them in march 2005 i have seen a lot of photos from them they are mostly traditional, you have to pay extra for their photojournalist. they seem like nice people, i guess we'll see.

Re: Photography-ADA Studios
Future SIL used them for their wedding & all I can do is rave about them. She did traditional pictures, no photojournalism, but the pictures are amazing! FI & I are planning on using them..The photographer, John, was wonderful with the children in the wedding which is a big concern of mine! They do not seem the factory type at all! They did not seem factory at all to me!

I guess I don;t know too much about photos, but what do you exactly mean by photo journalism?? I eman, if we made a list of all the pics we wanted, would they honor that? Please clarify what you mean by photojournalism vs. traditional.....
THANKS!!

Traditional - is generally when they do almost all posed photos - portraits etc.
Photojournalism - is more like what you see in the newspapers - it is more of a candid approach to photography - they try to capture the day rather than have you stand there, pose and shoot. With photojournalism you will have many more proofs since they need to snap away to get this style.
we are using them and they are great...have seen 4 family/friend wedding pic's and I think they were all done nicely...

Re: Photography-ADA Studios
Thank you everyone for all your insight. I did not get a photojournalist since I prefer the traditional photos in a formal wedding album but will be providing disposable cameras on the wedding tables so that I can get candid shots as well. Plus I thought it seemed like a lot of money to pay an extra photographer when I wasn't even getting any more pictures in my package-just a lot more proofs. Since I have difficulty making decisions as it is, I thought the more choices I was given, the more difficult it would be for me to make my final wedding album selections. Anyone have any other thoughts on this? Are they worth the extra expense?

I booked ADA last weekend!! They were very nice, and all their pictures and ablums I saw were beautiful!! You get a photographer and assistant...and you get 250+ proofs! They do posing pictures, but they also do candid ophotography..its all about you...you can make the list about what you have for 'must have' shots, as well as metnion you like a lot of candids, poses, etc....you make the package!

Re: Photography-ADA Studios
We used them for our May 14th wedding. I have not gotten the proofs yet, but as soon as I do, I will be posting them!
Our photographer was Tony Sande. He was wonderful! We had a huge wedding party of about 30 plus the parents! He had an assistant too. But Tony did a great job rounding everyone up for the photography, We got started early so we could get most/all of the pictures done before the ceremony.
All I can say is they did a great job the day of, and the pictures will speak for themselves once we get them back.h
