I cannot speak for video, but...

If you are willing to use a separate company for each thing, try Camelot Studios photography (Elmont) and Moments to Remember (Bethpage & Ronkonkoma) video. The total of the two is what you are looking to spend, and I got almost the exact package that you want. I should have my video in about a week and I can post if there are any problems with it. I have a few family members and friends who had their videos by MTR and they are great. I get the unedited tape, 2 parent videos, one edited video with a recap at the end, and a 10-15 min. highlight video. My proofs are awesome and they came in a preview album- no sorting and fussing necessary to pick. I get 2 parent albums, our leather album, one large blow-up (not exactly sure of size), 50 thank you's, engagement shoot, free engagement picture (around 12x14), sepia tones (as much as requested), option for b&w on any picture taken in color and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember.

we just walked in with everyone else.... actually almost everyone was already seated by the time we came downstairs with the wedding party (the cocktail hour with in an upstairs room and we were too busy eating... no time during the actually cocktail hour because everyone wants to talk to you!!!). the whole wedding was pretty causual..and this fit.. we came in and oohed and ahhed at the table arrangements and cake and then sat down. thats about all. i know this is probably not very useful, but our theory was if it doesn't feel right (or natural) we don't want to do it. the maitre'd kinda gave us one of those 'but everyone does it this way' speeches and we just told her no..anyway, good luck planning,leighann
