Has anyone booked their photographer yet? Is it too early? The reason I asked is because I tried to book with a photographer and was told that they didn't have prices for 2008 yet so he can't quote me a price. Which, in turn is telling me that I can't book until 2008.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
That sounds a little strange to me, they should have the prices for 2008 already. Did you find a photographer you love and just wanted to know what the prices would be for your date? If so then I would ask them when they would have the new price list and you will call them back and try to book them. OR you can keep looking for other photographers because I really think they should have the prices for 2008.
Good luck

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
I have been looking through the photography threads and picked out whch ones I would like to visit. I was surprised by the email response since I noticed some brides on the thread have used them and booked way in advance for the same company.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
That is really wired. You need to book a photographer as quickly as possible. Typically if they don't have prices for the year you are getting married they will give you the current years prices (one of the advatages to booking early). My photographer told me he has days books for 08 and 09 Where did you go?

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
one of the best reasons to book vendors in advance is to lock in their rates. the fact that this vendor isn't going to do that for you seems odd to me.
we booked our photographer and videographer something like 18 months before our wedding date.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
My first stop was with Twelfth Night Photography. I wrote down a list of photographers that I received from the brides reviews. My next stop is Patken Photography.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
i booked with DUET just a little over 2 years in advance....
Hmmm strange. I know the photographer was the 4th thing I booked. Probably a year before the wedding I would say.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKING
When we started booking not just a photographer but other vendors they told us they didnt have there price list for 07 yet but quoted us 06 prices with the intention in might go up a little...so far no changes....
