I am going with Leli primarily because I thought he was so nice and genuine and his work and price were great. Everyone else I met with seemed like your basic salesmen...

me too!!!
I just saw pictures Gary took of my parent's friends sons wedding (sounds weird) and they were amazing!
They were definately not posed ....there were shots of the Bridal party and fami;ly in the beginning posed but that is really it
ask him and he will explain how he takes pictures most of them are not posed throughout the reception

I got married nearly a year ago. I used Proline Studios for my wedding (photo & video was used) I was very pleased with the services I recieved before and after my wedding. The staff was friendly and helpful. My photographer did a beautiful job and my video was simply breathtaking. My experience with Proline was unforgettable and would highly recommend them to anyone!!! A few of my friends have also used proline and were very pleased with the memories proline captured.

Definitely recommend Twelfth NIght Photo I didn't like the fact that you won't meet your photographer with Bella until the week of. I love Twelfth Night.

im using Leli too... did you meet with him in person?? Im not the biggest fan of his web site (almost didnt see him because of it), but his work in person was amazing... it all tells a story, and i definately did not get the posed feeling from his pictures... every album was different... there are other popular photogs on here that everyone raves about, but when looking at their work, i saw the same 'candid' shots in each album...good luck on your decision!

I think 12th night is soo up your alley. They don't offer albums but take the most beautiful candid pictures I have ever seen. They do everything digitally, and can offer you many options with your prints after the wedding. Although I didn't book with them, when I made an appt me and my FH was there for 3 hours just talking and he left such an impression with me that I will sell his work to anyone.

How is the weather in Syracuse? I went to college in Clinton so I spent many weekends making the 1 hour drive to the Carousel Mall--I loved Kahunaville!

I did the same thing from Ithaca! Kahunaville was great, and I really miss Wegman's! Anyway, we are using Duet . They are excellent, and might give you just proofs for $2000....

sorry to hijack, but fh went to ithaca and always talks about how great wegmans is...he's excited for his reunion so he can go there

Try Dan Wagner he is a vendor on here, I am using him. he is very nice and we are paying under 2000 for our package. Plus he does not charge by the hour as many others do. FM me if you want details.

Hey I went to Ithaca too and used to make the 1 hour drive to the Carousel Mall. I miss Wegmans too! Anyway, you should contact Perceptions Photogaphy (a vendor on this site) and speak with Anthony the owner. They (especially Anthony) specialize in photojournalistic photography and I thought their pictures were amazing. The only reason we didn't go with them is my Dad wanted more of a tradional approach as well, and B rett M atthews included both photojournalistic and traditional in their package (for no added fee). But I loved Anthony's work and would highly recommend that you check out their website. I believe they do flexible packages as well and you'll probably save a lot of money by not doing albums through them.

try twelfth night. he quoted me somewhere between 1300-1500 for one photographer. two photographers was somewhere in the 2300-2500 range. they shoot in both film and digital, and they will give you the negatives and digital proofs on a cd so that you can make your own album.

12th Night is so good and soo up your ally. I wanted the same thing- I visited a few places, and 12th night turned out to be the one for me!

Twelfth Night is in your budget- we got two photogs for a little over $1600. Geraldine was our photojournalist and the pics are beautiful. We got a CD with the color digital pics and a box of b&w pj shots that were done on film. There were also some pj shots in color.
