Photography help!

So I did some research to find photographers in my price range and I am hoping some of you have had experience with the vendors I'd like to meet with so I can get a feel for them. If any of you know anything these photographers please let me know! FM or post whichever is easiest :) thank you!!!

I actually didn't meet with any of those photographers, but I do remember reading on the boards that you don't actually get to meet with your photographer from George Street prior to the wedding, or if you do it's very shortly before the wedding. From what I gathered, it seems like you meet with consultants and representatives.

I actually just FMed about that. Apparently, the company is run out of Illinois. They hire freelance photographers, and have like 50 on their staff in one area at any given time. You meet with a representative, and tell them what you're looking for, then they match you up with a photographer who they believe has a similar style. Then when the photographer has the proofs from your wedding, the company outsources the albums.

I don't know, and I didn't meet with them, but they have a TON of negative reviews on Yelp from around the country. I also felt that they were extremely pushy. I signed up for some contest on the knot, and they got my info. I was bombarded with emails and phone calls. I finally told the woman I hadn't picked a date yet (the truth at the time), and that I'd contact them when I was ready to book a photographer. Her response was 'well, you can book us and then we will be available any date you choose'. Which was a red flag for me.

I will definitely send the Deja Vu quote to both of you, as soon as I find it. It's in my 'wedding pile' that I am going to go through later today.

My mother and I met with Alan at Deja Vu, and we really liked him. His work was beautiful, just not exactly what I had been looking for. But I would definitely recommend him!

Jaylim is $6100 for the package I want so by default that is out

Why is it so hard to find a person you love in budget!!!

Does anyone have quotes for Lighthouse, DejaVu Gray and Marco? or anyone else that you think I should be looking at. I'm getting a little overwhelmed with photography because there are so many options and I feel that this is one of the most important vendors so I dont want to make a mistake. Anyone else get overwhelmed booking this vendor?

I got an amazing package from Fade to Black and I also felt the best connection with Gil who is the owner, I admit only met with three companies but I definitely knew I had found the right person for our wedding when I walked out of there!
