Photography Help - No pictures of CH or Viennese, etc!!

He probably should have take a couple pictures of the ice sculptures, food, etc.

But I am pretty sure my photographer told me that he won't be taking many pics during the CH either. . .its like, its only people shoving food in their mouths, honestly.

But he / she should still have gotten pictures of the food and VH.

I'm sorry, I would let them know how upset you are!

I understand the photos of people eating, but DH and I went around to take pictures with family and friends. So I have non-pro pictures of us together, I'm just curious what they were doing during that time...

I still haven't found anyone that has a picture of our dip for our first dance, which has me even more upset

I didn't have a 'must-take' list - I spoke with him about what I wanted via a conversation, but he said those were common stuff so I never printed one out for him, which is my fault i guess. 'Please take a picture of my ice sculptures' 'Please take a picture of my viennese hour table.' Doesn't that seem silly?

when did you get to your RH? was it RIGHT before CH. If so, the time vendors eat is during CH so probably thats why. During the reception they are supposed to work the whole time so when we feed vendors usually the RH gives them food from CH.

I got to the RH a decent amount before CH and thats when photographers and other vendors ate, so they ate before CH actually started. I have pics from CH but i guess its bc they ate already.

its still no excuse, and they should've thought you wanted pics of this so they should've taken pics quickly before they started eating. Sorry

We got the RH at 3/3:30 (ceremony was at 7:30). We took pictures until 6:30ish, ceremony was delayed until 8:30. There are no pictures between 6 and 8:30, then cocktail hour, and viennese hour.

Oooo Ok then they had no excuse. I would bring this up to them. Maybe they felt they didnt care for the CH pics and that might be in the stack of pics they didn't give you. HOPEFULLY there is some chance of this. But I would bring it up to them regardless. Let them know that as a bride, you would've liked to have pics of the CH and viennese hour.

We didn't get our proofs back yet (just some teasers) so I don't know if we'll have CH pictures. The whole day was a blur so I don't remember if I saw them taking pictures.

One of my friends took a pic of our ice sculpture and watermelon carving (didnt notice either one day of ) so ask your guests if they got any shots of them. I agree with asking your photog if they sent you ALL of the pictures or just the ones they thought you'd like. Did you have a video? They might be able to take frames from that and make them into photos.

As a last resort you could get CH shots from another bride.

As far as negotiating, I would definitely try to negotiate with them about price or add'l things they could throw in to compensate.

Haha I didn't notice the watermelon carving either until someone sent it to me! I was like oh wow! I already asked the videographer about taking frames, he said even though he has it on the video, we can only print small pictures - probably not the best thing to have proofs of. I know I should negotiate, but I'm such a chicken, I wouldn't even know how to without either bursting into tears or screaming.
