Photography HELP PLEASE

I scheduled a bunch of appointments for next week. I feel like I don't know where to go- Fiance and I are paying for this part on our own so we want reasonable prices, with great service and product! (That's not too much to ask for right.....???)

We have appt's at the following places next week. Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Jovan- rec. by hall
Creative Compositions- rec. by hall
Franklin Square Photographers- rec. by friend

Also looking for a video person. Do most places offer both. I am pickey about this- I can't tell you how many TACKY videos I have seen!

We went with Twelth Night!!! You should definitly check them out - Dominick is great and their prices are great!!! His pictures are beautiful - we check out several others and no one compared price wise and quality wise. He also recommends someone who does video - I haven't check him out yet but heard he's really good quality wise and price wise!! Good Luck!!!!

I think most places offer both video and photo...all the places i went did.

I also recommend Twelfth Night... Proline was wonderful as well!

One of our GM works for JoVon. Their work is supposed to be very good but the prices are very high.

The video company associated with Twelfth Night is Mittermax- we booked them this week :)

Creative Compositions was really good, but also the most expensive place we met with (I was quoted $6300). They also have non-cheesy video

We actually checked out Creative Compositions today. Their stuff was terrific! By far the best work that I've seen. But they are also definitely higher in price. FH and I are going to have to decide if we can afford them.

We are using SilverFox for both video and photo. There work is excellent and there prices are great too. Everything is a la carte which we love. Good Luck

We are using Leli - like you we are paying for the photo and video ourselves - everything else parents and did not have a lot - i was quoted $7000 for the package just for photo from creative, that was on the high side for me

I ended up meeting with Leli - gary is great - i got photo and video for $6,000. He has packages but through lots of extras that i needed in - i thought he had very similar quality to creative - plus he shoots one photographer 1200 shots - shoots both photjournalist and traditional - and is really easy to work with

I would definetly reccomend checking him out too - i know it is a hike out to St. james but very worth it - I was happily suprised

Franklin Square Photography is really good, my friend had them for her wedding, but they have this new thing where they don't give you any proofs. They put all of your pictures on these tiny little 3X3 slides or something like that and you have to pick your pictures from that. You have the option I think to buy your proofs, but it is expensive. I am using VIP studios in Port Jeff and they are really nice and not that pricey

For video, try bellarino video, they are really good. I am using Wild Rose, who I think are great, a little more $$$$ than bellarino, but excellent work. Bellarino was booked for my day
