Photography Question

What is the average number of proofs/negatives that photographers provide? I have no idea and would like to know this before I go looking.

Thanks!

Re: Photography Question

I would say anywhere from 350-700 depending on the type of camera they use and/or how many photographers you have.

I think a lot of places do around 400 or so.

I got about 700!!

Re: Photography Question

the amount of proofs seemed to be in correlation with a lot of the final price I found in doing my research.

Many places that charged say 2-3500 gave about 300-500, 4-5 were about 500-700, and 5K and up gave 700- well over 1000 depending on the studio. But those numbers are definites there were some places that gave more or less - my photographer gives over 1000 - many say as much as 1800

I found that the places that gave more proofs did more true candids and photojournalism and those with fewer proofs were more traditional and posed

Re: Photography Question

I guess 500 is the average, but at the time of contract I would note the minimum for the photographer, be very specific
