Photography question re: parent albums

If you get your proofs/negatives as real pictures, are you able to use them to send somewhere to have them made into a parent albums as opposed to paying your photographer to do it? If so, where can you take/send them? Has anyone done this before and if so, was it worth it?

That's what we're planning on doing. We were just going to make parent albums on My Publisher or Shutterfly.

I too am planning on making my own parents albums, will either use Kodak Gallery or IPhoto. There are a lot of nice things you can do these days on your own.
