Photography/Videography advice
I am using photos of the heart for my photography. I went to several studios, and they were the best out of all of them, hands down. They are a married couple that work together...he is the photographer and truly enjoys what he does...she helps him by posing the people in the shot, then steps out of the way so he can snap the picture. Their system works, cuz you can really tell the difference between their pictures and eveyone elses. I am very happy with my choice! Their prices also seem comparable to other packages that are offered elsewhere. Check out their website, it's photosoftheheart.com. As you can see, I recommend them highly!! (no I have not received compensation from them for this advertisement!!hahahaha)

Mark Kauffman!! (m)
I've said this a million times - we LOVE our pictures. Lynn & Tony worked with us at our 9/2/01 wedding and did an incredible job. Everyone at the studio has been a joy to work with. If you have any questions at all, I'll be happy to help! Good luck - Michele

Mark Kauffman!! (m)
I have to agree with Shelby. Jody and Jack photographed my 9/22 wedding and the pictures brought tears to my eyes (all 1400 of them). Give them a call and they will send you a video of their work. It's worth the research.

Mark Kauffman and Wild Rose
I searched a long time before I booked my photographer and videographer. Mark Kauffman is great. I have Lynn and Roy photographing my wedding. Wild Rose by by far the best video company that I meet with. They have a great DVD package, around $1400ish, and the quality of the work was amazing. Also, both vendors have helped me during my planning, and respond very quickly to my e-mails/phone calls. Some hints- When you meet with photographers make sure you see full albums, not just a few photos of different brides. Also, ask if they will customize the package for you. I did not need a lot of thank you photos, but I needed (3) parent albums. Ask about extra charges. Some charge extra for B&W photos, if your affair runs over etc... Do you like his/her personality. This person will be with you for many hours. When looking at video companys make sure you do not just watch a small part of a demo tape. I asked to see a full length tape, and fast forwarded to different parts. That gives you a feel for the overall end product. Also, stop at the vows and listen. Can you hear them clearly. I found some vendors did not have good, clear sound quality. Also, what type of lighting do they use? I did not want that big spotlight on my guests. Wild Rose uses a small lapel mic on the groom's tux to get great sound during the vows. And no spotlights, just the small light on the camera.

Mark Kauffman/Brett Matthews
I also recommend Mark Kauffman's studio - Lynn & Drew shot my wedding last night and we had the proofs 2 weeks later and they are incredible - I can't wait to start designing my album! On top of their artistic talent, they are also great to work with - helpful AND friendly. I used Michael from B rett M atthews photography for my video. He also was great to work with and their finished products are beautiful - lots of black/white slow motion (which I LOVE), no tacky special effects - just classy and romantic. The sound on our raw footage is the best I've ever heard (he miked my husband during the ceremony) and band even sounds great on the tape (a lot of time they get drowned out or off-sounding on video). They also shoot on DVD with barely any light (that was one of my big concerns). Hope this helps!Welcome New Vendors
