I am just overwhelmed and don't know where to start looking for a photographer. My sister got married in July and I liked her photographer but want to look around a bit to get the best deal. I am hoping to be able to get 2 photographers and have someone taking video too.I also want to make sure they have a good reputation. Any suggestions for reasonably priced studios?

The best advise you have gotten so far is start looking at different peoples pics to get an idea of what kind of photos you would like. When it comes to photo and video you cant really put a price on it... it is such a personal decision when you are looking to make your decision.
We went with Patken because we loved their photojornalisic approach with a little bit of traditional flair.
Thomas Paul and Duet do a great job also but they were both completly booked for our date...

I agree with GR2010's post. If your pictures aren't edited or treated with great detail and personal touch, you may not be so happy.
Also, it depends that type of photography that you are interested in. Do you want a photojournalistic style? Do you prefer a traditional studio-like style? I personally wanted something different with elements of tradition. So for example, a photojournalistic style with hints of traditional touches.
We booked photography with Joshua Dwain Photography. My e-pictures in my album and they are amazing! He was great at working with my budget. I want to say that I met with other photographers, but once we met with him; saw his work; and then compared it to other companies with similar style, I knew booking with Joshua was it!
For videos, I booked with Kiss the Bride Films. Leslie is great! She is so sweet and very skilled. I looked into: JPI Films, NY Filmworks, OrangeFilms, UniqueVstudio and a few others.
When we met with Leslie, we knew that she would be it! She had great reviews in other wedding websites, used cinematic-style video, and had a great price! You can look at her work in her website and on Vimeo.

I totally agree with the grils that you have to connect with the photographer that you choose. We are using Creative Compositions in Oyster Bay. We absolutely love then and couldnt see outselves with anyone else. They do everything, Epics, Bpics, Photomontages, They are the best.
I used LoveMore... I absolutely adore Arek & Ilona... they are the sweetest people in the world... you get teasers the day after the wedding... he sent me 14 pictures the next day... i had my disc with 1024 pictures 5 weeks after the wedding... full rights to all the pictures and the online gallery
