Trying to figure out what my budget for photograpy/videography should be. Can someone give me an idea of what the average costs for photos and videos are. I really am not sure what to expect and before I start lining up photographers to meet with, I need to know what the norm is. I got one quote done online and nearly had a heart attack!

we are paying $3400 for 10 hours of coverage with the main photographer and an assistant, all edited photos on disc. we are holding off on the albums because our photographer is more expensive (not a studio) and we really wanted her.

We are paying $2,000 for 8 hrs with one photographer, no albums, and $1,500 for 10 hours with one videographer. Both are basic packages.

I'm paying 2500 for 2 photographers. An assistant they are with me all day no time limit No albums. Will purchase later but all photos are edited and have rights etc
For video I'm just getting ceremony coverage so it's 550

I'm paying 4,000 for two videographers all day, pretty pricey but their work it top quality (Bilski) and photographer 3,100 (patken) includes alot in that price, engagement shoot,8X8 photo STD, thank you cards, two parent albums, bride and groom album, 5x7 for all bridal party and a few different sized photos for me!

I'm paying $950 for the album and $950 for a full day of service with no time limit for the photographer. I'm paying $1199 for the basic video package.. so $3099 total
