Photos before Ceremony?

Original post by ngentile

So my family and I are currently debating wheter or not to take pictures before the ceremony. We are getting married at the RH and I really don't want to miss all of CH and be pulled from my reception. I also love the first look pictures I've seen online. What are you ladies doing or what did you do? Does anyone who took pictures before regret it?

Not sure where my reply went but my vote is yes! We did this for our wedding and I dont regret it at all! We had time to do our pictures in advance and it was our special moment. We also had some alone time to eat during the cocktail hr then for the other half we went down to cocktail hr to mingle and thank our guests in lieu of the receiving line since we got married at the venue. Good luck with your decision.

Also getting married at RH and my FH talked me into a reveal AND family photos all ahead of time. My favorite part of the wedding is the CH, so I'm glad we will be part of it with our guests. My mom wasn't so crazy about the idea because she felt so many people would see me before the ceremony, but the more I thought about it, I realized that it really is easier to get all that posed stuff out of the way. Every vendor I've booked has recommended this to me as well, so I'm glad we're doing it.
