Phtoography questions

Hey ladies,

I finally made 2 appts this week to see photographers. Besides the basics such as price, what is included and if they have back up equipment.

What else should I be asking?

If they have multiple photogs confirm which one will be doing it and their style (or have them show you two or three of the avail ones for your date)

Ask if you can have your pics on a Hi Res CD/DVD without anything embedded or any restrictions. See if they will tell you how long the turn around time is to get albums, prints, thank yous...etc. Ask for insurance...and check your contract with your RH to make sure they have enough.

Does any one know if Duet gives pics on a Hi Res Cd without embedding? I know they said they give a CD but I didn't ask this question.

How many pics in the bridal album?
How big is the album (what size)?
Parent albums?
Any portraits or enlargements?
Thank yous?
Do you get all proofs?
Do you get proofs on cd?
Do you get rights to your photos?
How much for extra prints?
How many photographers?
How long are the photographers with you?
Are extra locations additional cost?

When you have to pay. DO NOT pay the full balance before the wedding. I owe 1/2 of my balance when I go to pick up the pictures. I hear horror stories from my friends and family of photographers who, once they have their money, take it and run.

Also, see how long it will take your pictures to come in. You don't want to wait 6 months to get your pictures back cause you want to send out TY cards ASAP.
