I need a seamstress and I read in another post that if you don't buy your dress from Phyliss, then alterations start at $250??? Is that true?? Does anyone have any info for me on this? Or does anyone know of a good seamstress in Suffolk that doesn't charge crazy amounts of $$$ for alterations? Thanks!

I bought my dress at David's Bridal and went to Phyliss and she did not start my alterations at $250. They were actually much less than that!

Her alterations are CAPPED at $150 - meaning you won't be charged over that price

I don't think her alterations are capped at $150 because I paid more than that. I paid $225 but my dress was a mess because my seamstress royally screwed it up. My mom had to have a lot of work done on hers too including rebeading and she only charged $150 which was a bargain! She did AWESOME, FAST work and restored both dresses to their original form.

If you buy your dress from her and have alterations done with her, it is capped at $150.
