Jen, I sent her 2 emails & left her a message the last 2 days & haven't heard at all. I'm stressing b/c we need to order fg dresses ASAP. I guess she left already for NJ

When I was using Phyllis, I found that if I called her local phone number and not the 800 number, she got those messages faster. I could be crazy but I think that worked for me! As you know, I wasn't thrilled with her or even her alterations (check the seams for strength). I'm glad she's opening a shop b/c I think she'll be more organized in a bigger space. She'll come through for you in time for your wedding, I have no doubt. It's just that she causes some stress!

She's out of town, due back tomorrow. She used to work out of a small shop out of her house but recently obtained storefront in E. Northport/Dix Hills.

Phyllis contacted me today canceling her Saturday appts because of a family emergency,... just for those with Sat. appts - check your emails/voicemails.... :(

My friend called them yesterday and was told she left on an emergency, but I have an appointment with her tomorrow and nobody called to cancel, maybe she has someone else taking some appointments???

Yes. I had been trying to contact Phyllis from Thursday and found out the same. I'm supposed to pick up my bridesmaid dresses to get them altered. I'm cutting it really close since my wedding is near.

Can someone please contact me if they hear anything? I've been trying to leave a voicemail but I think its full.

I got a response from Phyllis late last night .
She said :

'I am out of town right now, my Sister passed away in Florida & I won't be back until Tuesday of the coming week.
The girls that work with me are trying to keep up with emails, phone calls, etc., but since we are a family owned business it is hard for all of us in the last few days.
Please pass this information on to the LI Weddings girls, I don't want anyone to think we are ignoring them, especially the girls who have already placed orders & are awaiting confirmation, shipping dates, etc.'
