Phyllis question....?

Does anyone know what she charges for alterations? I did not buy my dress from her, but would like her to alter my dress. Does anyone know what she charges?

where is she located? I keep reading how she's the best at alterations. I'm so worried about getting my dress altered at bridal couture with all the bad reviews. I just wanna take my dress and run lol.

She capped my alterations at $200. Do you know if it's different depending on the dress, style or size or should I have attempted to haggle?

i'm sure it's different for the style of dress. she actually told me that whatever i wanted done, it would not be difficult b/c of the style of my dress. i'm sure she capped you out higher b/c your style is diff from mine. she seems very fair, from my experience w her and from what i've heard from other girls on here.

I agree, I've seen some wonderful things about her on here and she also happened to give me the best price. I'm very happy with my decision to go with her & I'm probably going to get my bridesmaid dresses there as well. These boards have been so helpful in this whole planning process!

ok i just wanted to say, i just checked my receipt from her and it says $200 is the cap. sorry, i shouldn't have said $150 w/o looking at my receipt first.

i dodn't want anyone to think i got some crazy deal that they weren't getting. i just wrote the wrong amount!!

sorry!!

Mine are $175...I'm wondering the same thing...maybe it depends on the designer?

ETA: I just went back and read the previous posts...it seems it depends on the dress...and when she does it. It looks like she increased the base price from $175 to $200 for 2008.

she capped mine at$175, I believe it was based on the design (shape) of the dress. Mine is a simple A-line

Re: Phyllis question....?

My dress is completely overlaid in lace, so that could be a factor. Maybe it also has to do with the size...up to size 18 one price, 18 to something else another, etc. I'm just greatful to have a cap...I've already lost 15 lbs. in the last 2 months on Weight Watchers and I'm losing steadily. By the time my dress comes in (Nov. 1st) I'm hoping they will have to take it in quite a bit!
