His name is Brennan Michael and he is sooooo cute! He was born after many hours of labor which ended in c section. My SIL was induced after being a week late because the doctors led them to believe the baby was getting too big(The doctors were saying he was between 9 and 9.5 lbs).....well, the labor took forever and they decided to do a c section.........he ended up being only 7lb 11oz
My questions are:
For those who have already given birth, was the doctor right in predicting what the weight of your baby was? (my brother and SIL aren't so sure they would have induced if not being worried about how big he was)
I've been hearing lately that many induced labors ended in C-section.....was this true for you?
My doctor predicted my daughter to be 7lbs 10oz-she was born 8 lbs 9 oz.
I was induced and had a vaginal delivery.

My docs were dead on with both my kids right about 7 1/2 lbs (Emma 7 15 and Jeremy 7 8)
I wasnt induced but had an emergency C because Emma was in distress and a scheduled C with Jeremy so Im no help there.

He's very cute! My doc was dead on the whole time about his weight. He knew he'd be a big boy if he was born on schedule, but he arrived 3 weeks early at 9.7 lbs.
Edited to say he was EARLY, not LATE!

He's adorable
My doc's were pretty accurate with my son's weight...they thought about 7lbs and he was 8.3 lbs! I was not induced but needed a c-section due to high fever and my son's blood pressure droping!

I was induced because I went into labor and then all of a sudden the contractions stopped, and they didn't want to send me home cuz he was late already. But no c-section! He was 7pds 7 ounces. The Dr. thought he would be about 6-7 pounds.

My Dr said my baby was going to be 8-9lbs, and I was induced which did end in a c-section. My son weighed only 6lbs 15oz

So cute,,,,
I was induced and was over 4weeks early. I was a case study csection I had GD and pregnancy induced Hypertension with siugns of Preclampsia. When i was in my Drs office my cervix was still thick as could be and not even an inch dialted...I went to the hospital and 12 hours laster I had my baby.. so i guess the fact that i got my Epi at 2cm and i relaxed really helped.. I guess everyone is different...

My doctor predicted about 8lbs. He was born right on time at 7 lbs 4 1/2 oz. Congratulations!!!! Your nephew is too cute for words!

Doc predicted 10 pounds, he was 9 lbs 10 oz. They broke my water, but that was all...... and it went from there.... no c section.

My dr was pretty dead on about the weight. The day I went into labor she felt my belly an dsaid 7lbs 0 he was 7lbs 2oz. The sonos were all very accurate..I had one about 4-5 days before he was born...three weeks early.
My water broke, I had mild contractions but no dialation so they started the pic to speed things up and I had a normal v-delivery.

3 days before my daughter was born they said she was about 8 to 8 1/2 pounds. She was born 7 lbs., 12 ounces.
She was 10 days late. I was not induced but I did have a c-section because of meconium in my water when they broke it and also failure to progress in labor (after 2 hours of pushing she did not move down). The meconium was the bigger reason though. They gave me a chance to push but didn't want me going too long because of the meconium.
I have heard that your chance of a c-section is higher when you are induced. I think they made the right call with having the baby induced if he was a week late. Most doctors only let you go 2 weeks past and if they thought he was going to be that big that did what they thought was best for the baby.
