I would also just like to say that the people at Macy's are complete MORONS. The first time we went there they gave us a gun that was set to someone else's registry. So when she went to print out our registry after we had finished there was NOTHING on it... it was all on the other couple's registry. LOVELY. Then I found out my mom bought some of my formal china already and had to return it when I decided to change it. I went to the Macy's in Massapequa and since she bought it online they were giving me the hardest time about returning it. I had TWO store associates LIE right to my face. One said he spoke to the store manager and then when I asked to speak to him myself it turns out he wasn't even there that day. The second was when they told me they couldn't take it back because online merchandise doesn't scan the same as in-store merchandise, so I tried scanning it myself on the price checker and it worked just fine. They told me to come back and talk to the store manager and he would be able to help me so my sister and I went back today and he wasn't available to talk and the person in charge of the Bridal Registry area was 'too busy' to speak to us as well... after waiting about 20 minutes some random person came out and said since I registered at Roosevelt Field and not at their store there was nothing they could do to help me. SO my sister and I drove out to Roosevelt Field where they did take the stuff back, which was all well and good... but then when I told them the name of the pattern I wanted to add they told me they didn't carry it. HELLO IT'S ON YOUR FRIGGIN WEBSITE. So idiot Macy's employee number one million looks it up and tells me since it's not 'in store' that means it's being discontinued and I'm going to have a hard time finding the pieces anywhere.. REALLY??? Because it's a new pattern... AMAZING. After that I was so fed up I went to BBB and added all of the pieces I could to my registry there. The woman told me that since it's a new pattern they'll get more over time and I'll move them over as they become available. I've really just about had it with Macy's...

hopefully u have the sales associates names.. i would call corporate and tell them EVERYTHING. People are loosing their jobs left and right, and the ones that still have a job, ESPECIALLY in sales should def effin step it up a few notches. I could only imagine how annoyed you must be. You def should bring this to someones attention.

Oh I took names alright!!! My sister was shocked I didn't rip one of these idiot's throats out... I tried to keep the bridezilla in check but I was LIVID.

The people at the Massapequa store did get an ear full... just not the people I wanted to be yelling at. The guy who initially lied to me made the mistake of asking me to 'calm down' so Jay now knows corporate will be getting a call first thing Tuesday morning about him. Normally I would just write an email but this deserves a phone call. I think my sister was just waiting for me to throw a punch or something!!!!! I am the outspoken one of the two of us so I could tell she was getting nervous. But I am sure the people at Macy's corporate will be so happy to hear that their Massapequa store has a 'we don't need your business' attitude.
If it weren't for the few things that BBB didn't have I wouldn't be registered there at all at this point.

Macy's is horrible!!! Can I just tell you that we registered there a few weeks ago and they barely had anything!!! We only registered for a few things and we said we would look online and go to Bed Bath and Beyond for the rest. We went to BBB today and it was soooooo much better we decided to cancel our Macy's registry and get everything at BBB. Our china was the biggest surprise though - it was almost $100 cheaper per set at BBB than Macy's!!! Why would I want my guests to spend so much more - just because I'm not paying doesn't mean I don't want to save my family and friends any way I can.

Yes!!! I noticed that too!! Our place setting were $114 at Macy's and $80 at BBB!!!! The platter to the set is $50 less... I can't wait for BBB to get the rest of the set!!!! Plus at BBB you can always use the 20% off coupon....

that is quite the experience.... sorry Gina! I had a different experience at Macys when buying off of registry. I went to the Herald Sq. one. one of the registry ppl came down with me, found me the items I wanted, then checked me out so I wont need to stand in line. she also adjusted the price the moment I mentioned that online its cheaper. I guess its just a thing of luck. sometimes u get helpful ppl sometimes dont.

Yeah, I've noticed that Macys' 50% off sale prics are BBB's REGULAR prices. However, BBB does not carry my china, nor do they carry the Armetale serving pieces I'm in love with, or my Fiesta everyday, so I have Macys for those things and BBB for everything else. I found that the people in the Manhasset Macy's registry are SO NICE and will jump through hoops for you.
