Picking BM Gift they will actually like...

How do you know what gifts you are going to get your BP that they will like and/or use? I see all these gifts for the BP like a jewelry box or monogrammed paper or something. How do you know its not something that wont be tossed into the back of a closet?

I got my girls pearls....necklesses, braclets and earings. I think that they'll love them. Pearls are so classic!

Simply put, cuz I got them stuff that they can't put in the back of a closet!

I got them a housewarmer candle from Yankee Candle - Wedding Day scent, a sterling silver bracelet for the day of the wedding & whenever they want, a little book called 101 Uses for a Bridesmaids Gown, a wine glass charm for the day of the rehearsal dinner & the future, and a package of the Sniff tissues with the Bride & Groom on them!

I was really worried about this, which is why I went for stuff they could use, and some that is just a girly spoiler. I picked a beautiful bracelet that can be worn formally, or with jeans....and I bought them a formal silver beaded handbag for them to carry to the wedding, and they will get use out of for years to come. I also got them cute little makeup bags, and I'm filling them with soap, lotions, and assorted other little spa stuff.

I made sure to stear clear of trinket boxes, engraved anything (although I wanted to do monogramed robes, just couldn't find a good price on them), and cheap jewelry sets, because all of my bridesmaids are married, have been bridesmaids before, and already have good jewelry.

I got all of my girls a bathrobe spa bakset. I had either red or pink monogrammed bathrobes, bubble bath, nail stuff, etc.. all in a big basket for each girl. Plus my MOHs each got a special, on-the-side treat and I paid 1/2 for their gowns (MOHs only). I didn't want to get them the typical gift.

I got my MOH's Coach bags, and the rest of my BM's coach wallets. I am also getting them their jewelry to wear for the wedding!

I tried to get my BMs things that they WOULDN'T throw into a closet. I got coach makeup bags, robes, pictures frame (for a 5x7 I'll give them from the wedding of the BP) Little photo albums, BMs hankies (for day of wedding), and I still need to get slippers, and a victorian chain pull (at RD) which they will wear as an ankle braclet the day of the wedding (for good luck). I will also be getting the personalized bags (with their names on them) to put everything in.

thanks so much. that website has a lot of great stuff. Someone posted martha stewart hearts to throw instead of rice or bird seed on another post and i think it was from the same site.

I am falling asleep right now so I'll check it out in depth tomorrow

I did the bathrobe thing too, and my girls still tell me how much they love the bathrobe I also got them a loofah set, jack frost yankee candle,and earrings to wear on the wedding day

I know its not my next step to pick my BM gifts but i can't wait!! I love picking gifts for others, especially ones they will like so much. And I am sure I might go a little overboard too (b/c I usually do that- ooh thats niche and wait so it that and that and that) LOL
