Girls when does the RH usually contact you to finalize the menu and pick the cake? Am I supposed to get in touch with them or do they call me to set up an appt?

I actually was just thinking the same thing but yesterday I got a call from the RH to go over everything and finalize the menu. They will probably call you but if you feel more comfortable Im sure you can call them and make an appt.

I finalized my menu about 6 weeks before the wedding. Some people said that was too early and it's usually 3-4 weeks prior, but the menus I wanted took 5 weeks to make so I needed that extra time.
I finalized my cake about 2 months before the wedding.

It's usually about 1 month before the wedding. They won't order the food before 2 weeks, anyway. And they are concentrating on other affairs in the months prior to that. They won't forget about you!

I was wondering the same thing, and then days later they called us to come in and do it. It was just at the 2 month mark.

we did ours right after christmas..... crazy early i know.... but we live in buffalo and were on LI for the week so we had a bit of free time and did it all!!!! one less thing to worry about

i just set my menu and we are about a month and a half away. after my tasting we set up a date to pick the menu. the cake i have to go to the bakery to do and they suggest 6 weeks ahead of time for that.

I called and was told i will be contacted in late april to come in for all of that so im guessing its a month ahead time frame.
