How did everyone handle this? I was just going to pick the color and ask all my girls (I have 5 in total) to go shopping with me so we can decide on something together. That's how it was done for the 3 weddings I've been in so far. But the girls are telling me they don't think they'll be able to agree...? I'd love any suggestions!
u should pick something that u love and would love to see the girls in...try to pick something flattering...try to pick out like 3 or 4 dresses and take them shopping to try them on and then have them vote on it
this is soooo difficult! i'm dreading getting to this point. It's hard to pick one dress and tell different girls to spend the money on it, but at the same time, i've heard horror stories about 'letting them choose'. have you considered choosing a specific color/material and then just letting them choose the length, neckline, etc...?
I was going to tell them the color, and then maybe even floor length since it is winter. But I just feel like I have no idea what's going to look good on them! Maybe I'll start e-mailing them pictures of what I like and they can tell me their thoughts. It is probably better to go to the store with some ideas then just set them all loose :)
yea it can get pretty overwhelming and chaotic when shopping
I am going to go with just my mom and sis (MOH) so I can get an idea of what I like. Then I want to go back with the rest of my BM so they can try on the dresses I like and see what they feel most comfortable in and then make the decision from there.
I went shopping with all six the first time and it was such chaos, but I did get an idea of what every liked and didn't like, the second time I went with just my two sisters and we were able to pick it out. I emailed the picture to the other girls and they approved then I decided on the color and asked if everyone was ok with it. They were really easy going with it and agreeable.
I picked, and my MOH agreeded. I have 8 girls, that would be way too many opinions!
I have definite styles in mind but if my girls dont look good or dont feel comfortable we'll keep looking.
I will pick out the selections and have the girls try them on to see what look nice. I might sound selfish but I refused to give them the option of what they want because then it becomes what they like. And, then I don't want to be frustrated over something i didn't like to begin with.
It's definitely not an easy task! I have been picking dresses out and emailing them to my MOH. Once we can narrow it down to 3 or 4 I am going to ask the other girls which one they like the best and would feel more comfortable in. All my girls are scattered so its hard to get them all together. I have to say though there is nothing out there right now that I love!
i say pick out one or two dresses that you really love and then have them decide between those dresses which one they like better
