Ok I know this question was asked probably a million times, but I was just curious to how many people are getting their pics taken before the ceremony? My wedding doesn't start till like 7:30 at night and if I want daytime pics with FH I need to take them before the ceremony. I kind of want the first time for him to see me to be at the ceremony but I think it might just be easier to do pics beforehand. Just wondering what everyone else is doing. Oh I'm getting married at my RH.

Im getting married at my RH too and I kept saying we would see eachother before to take pics but I changed my mind. What Im going to do is get all the pics with the BP out of the way before the ceremony and FH will get his out of the way and after the ceremony we'll take ours. Our photog is quick so we should probably only miss the CH.

i'm getting married at RH too, but t he ceremony starts at 1130am, and we're taking pics before the ceremony. because our ceremony is so early, we really have no choice. but our photog will get pics of FH seeing me for the first time, and i love that idea.

Getting married at RH and taking pics after ceremony. I'm not having a lot of 'posed' shots. I really don't want to see FH before the cermony and he feels the same way. It's just our personal choice.

I'm getting mine taken after the ceremony. I only have about a half hour to take pics but I want him to see me as I'm walking down the aisle. But everyone is different so I say do what you feel. HTH.

We are getting married at the RH and I REFUSE to take pics before! I dont knock anyone who does.. But its totally not for me! I cant bring myself to do it!

We are getting married at our RH and we ARE doing pics before! I wanted pics at Old Westbury Gardens so we are doing that from 3-4:30 then our ceremony is at 6:30. We are going to set it up so the photographer catches his reaction to seeing me for the first time at OWG. He will be turned the other way and I will walk down the stairs and he will turn and see me for the first time. I didnt want pics before hand, but with all the money Im spending and in order to capture the pics I want, we are doing it this way. I know it will be perfect. He will still tear up seeing me walk down the isle, if he doesnt I will pinch him till he does!

that's pretty much what we're doing at our RH, and what I love most about it, is that it's such a private moment when he first sees you. FH and I are such emotional people, I know we'll get choked up when we first see each other, and I'd rather it be a private moment, that only me, FH and the photog will see. We're very shy, and the thought of getting so emotional in front of everyone is not ideal for us. we know we'll still be emotional when i walk down the aisle, but the private moment will be all ours, and i find something so romantic about that.

I was completely against seeing him before but after speaking with different past brides and photographers we decided to see each other before. We are paying so much money for food we want to enjoy our cocktail hour and not get pulled out of reception to take photos. I am actually excited about it. Someone that did it that way also said there is still something special (even after seeing each other) about seeing your bride walk toward you. :)

we are going after the ceremony for 2 reasons.. the major one is i want the first time he seems me in the dress to be when im coming down the aisle. second reason is b/c we have a huge gap of space inbtw the ceremony and CH. lol
