Aww..thanks! She is our baby!! We're actually pretty pathetic - we send out pictures every month to our friends and family of her as she grows!!! She's 8 months old now and about 78lbs. Shana - I had actually FM'd you a few months ago about her - not sure if you remember or not She's great though - the more I learn and the more I see, Rotties are a wonderful breed!!!

Hey, it's the Rottie Mom Club!

what a gorgeous girl you have!!! I'm jealous of you and Shana - your girls are so sweet and most likely won't get much bigger than 90 pounds or so - my boy Golem is expected to be anywhere from 100 - 120 fully grown!!! He'll be 10 weeks old tomorrow and he's already 17 pounds! :) He's such a mush though - I love Rotties!!!

Re: Pics I took of my Rottie...

The Dr. said he thinks she'll be anywhere from 85-95lbs full grown. At 12 wks she was 28lbs. She plateaued for awhile at about 55lbs and then has just gained and gained since her spaying. But she's not fat - she's just very well built. Her dad was 130 so I feel for you Just remember...Rotties are HUGE lap sitters!!! Whenever I sit on the floor with her she always bounds right into my lap - Almost 80 lbs is a heavy lapsitter...I can't imaging 100!!! LOL!!!! We love our rotties don't we Here is one where you can see her body...Maybe we should have a Rottie GTG!!

Re: Pics I took of my Rottie...

Golem is definitly a BIG lap sitter too!!! Every time we're on the floor with him and we're sitting down, it's PLOP right in the lap :) I don't mind it so much now bc if he in our lap then he's a little more calm and not trying to bite us! :) Teething Rotties .... truly a test of one's patience! :)

can't see the pic?

ETA - nevermind, I see it now :) I would LOVE to have a Rottie GTG! Golem really can't go far just quite yet since he's not fully innoculated until January though.

I say the same thing...my girl hasn't seen another rottie yet.... but she is SO dog friendly. I've been socializing her w/ other dogs since 8 wks. We go to Petco all the time, dog parks, etc. She'll be great w/ Golem

Re: Pics I took of my Rottie...

oh, if you dont mind me asking - when your girl was still young and not completely innoculated yet, where did you bring her so that she could safely socialize with other animals? So far Golem has only seen other animals from his first check up at the vet when we brought him home. That day he met a pug, a poodle, a big yellow lab and a bulldog in the waiting room and didn't seem bothered by them at all. :) I'm worried about him being exposed to something, but at the same time, I really want him to be able to be around other animals while he's still young. One Rottie forum I'm on recommended bringing him to Petco, but placing him on his own blankets in the shopping cart so he can see what's going on, but not risk catching anything from the ground....

Re: Pics I took of my Rottie...

Yes, I took her to Petco every week and the vet. I kept her in a shopping cart up until about 6 months. I always brought her by the kitties too so she could see them and I let people pet her in the cart and had her stand up to look around and sniff other dogs. I even told the vet - I was MORE concerned about her NOT being social than I was about her catching something (she never did.) We also had a trainer for her and she said the same thing - get her out there asap so she doesn't develop any non-social tendencies. Also, make sure YOU pet any other dogs too that you see when you're with her so she doesn't get jealous either...

Re: Pics I took of my Rottie...

I like the Petco idea - I think I'm just really paranoid about the idea of him catching something bc both our vet and breeder stressed it so much! Thanks!!!
