Pics of a lace dress with a lace trim or lace viel/mantilla
Can anyone show me pics of a lace dress with a lace veil/mantilla. I wanted to know if people do this. One woman said it would be too much but i still wanted to see it (no store had one available that i could try on that matched my dresses)
Thanks!

OMG, I have the same wedding dress! I have been wondering what kind of veil would look good with it too. I really like the look of a mantilla with lace trim, but I can't find one with lace that would match.

my dress is all lace and similar to yours. i tried on 100+ veils. i had always wanted the mantilla look, but found it to be way too much lace when it was all together. i am going with a plain veil, no edging at all. i want the attention to be on the dress!

Same here. I tried on a bunch with my dress (see pics in my album) and ended up with a plain veil with no edging too. I found that the lace on teh veil took away from the dress.

I have a lace dress with no beading and am wearing a lace mantilla. Depends on the look you want. I like the very romantic look which is odd lol because my shoes are red polka dots! I have one pic where I tried on a lace mantilla (not one I am going to order) Its really bad-fuzzywise, but you can get the idea....
My Mantilla is actually two pieces-blusher and the cathedral part so I don't hace the lace framing my fave which is what I prefered. It all really depnds on the look you are going for. Like I am considering wearing ruby earrings just to have a flash of color by my face but my comb is very traditional pearl and the derss and veil are traditional. You have to consider what kind of bride you are.
Also, if your dress is beaded lace, you might want to choose a simpler veil. My veil is lace but my dress is also plain lace. The site is www.theweddingveil.com. GREAT prices and wonderful beautiful mantillas-their specialty. Karen is wonderful.
I have a pic in my album of me with a shorter veil too-you can see how diff the looks are just by changing length and type of veil.

This is the style of veil I ordered. Mine is cathedral length like the other veil in the picture I posted and its edged in slightly different lace, but it will fall like this-lots of diff ways to wear it as you can see and its more versatile because it doesnt have that lace framing your face.

My dress had a lot of lace on it and I wore a lace trimed mantilla veil. It looked fine.

i posted about this w/ my dress and overwhelming response was that it was TOO MUCH! But... my dress has a lace jacket (and then just satin dress underneath) which is maybe why w/ lace trimmed veil, its alot going on up top.
i gave up on a veil. i think im the only bride on here not wearing one!! (more casual outdoor ceremony).
Here's my dress btw- http://www.liweddings.com/mywedding/album/i/112936.jpg

Thanks! I am pleased with it-went through the whole 'to have a long lace veil or not. Almost went with shorter veil but then I found that one I posted from weddingveil.com and its perfect. Classic but modern at the same time. And I LOVE your dress. The jacket is great. I don't think it needs a veil. You could always use silk flower clip with feathers to keep it really modern or get great hairpins. I am removing my veil after the ceremony. It makes me feel 'like a bride' and my dad really wanted me to wear one, but I am NOT wearing it all night! :)

Thanks Sea. Its a Fall 2005 dress designed by Allie Renee for the Mon Cheri line. I got it at RKBridal in the city. I think it was $650, which was pretty good because its a heavy lace-my veil is more expensive than I'd love, because the kind of lace that matches the one on my dress is Alecon lace which is apparently expensive. The one Im wearing in the pic was their sample which was ivory lace overlay over a blush champagne satin. Mine is ivory on ivory.
This is where I am ordering mine from. Karen is great and will send you big sample piecs of tulle to make sure you match your dress. She asked me to send her pieces of my dress after they start altering it, so that she can ensure the veil and lace matches exactly.
