Pics of me i my dress & question about guest attire?
here are a few pics of my dress... in my album
This dress is a whole lota dress, Which I thought I didn't want...
Well our venue in non- traditional (there are pics in album). Since my dress is so elaborate (compared to what I orignally was going for) I'm afraid I'll look out of place.
Our Wedding is Sat. June 7, 2008 in the evening. Can we have a black tie affair?

First you look beautiful, that is a gorgeous dress. Its your wedding if you want it you should have it. Black tie looks nice anywhere. Go for it. I was actually thinking of doing that as well.

What are you talking about girl?!!!!!!
Your dress is elegant, and your RH is elegant! They go together perfectly! (Beautiful dress! Do you have a front shot? I can't see it too well)
As for black tie, I always say - think about your guests. I do feel like it's your day and you should do what you want...but if it were me, I wouldn't make it black tie. Or I would do a 'black tie optional' on the invite.
I used to get peeved when I got invited to black tie weddings. But since I went to a few of them last summer, I now have some black tie appropriate dresses in my closet!!!! So I wouldn't mind going to one now!!!!!

Of Course you can have a black tie wedding!!! I agree 100% with Bon, your dress is elegant and your hall is too...I'm not ever sure why you are asking...
I would be surprised if you weren't having a black tie wedding on a Saturday night in June at that beautiful place.

Thanks Bonnie About the pictures, I forgot my camara & since I live further from the boutique, my cousin got her camara, & e-mailed the pics tonight i 2 e-mails, I'm still waiting to recieve the 2nd one, oue connection has been funky latly. I'll add more pics as I get them.
I thought that black tie -optional was taboo? I think it's a great option. That way they know to dress well if not black tie. That way no one is in a position to get a tux/gown, I like your thinking

Thanks, I guess because our reception is @ The Metropolitan Club, which to me feels more like a lounge. Which I loved when I wanted to wear a sheath or mermaid gown. I didn't feel 'bridey' in those dresses & my mom really loved this gown, so I got it. B/c of this dress I'm now thinking of adding the option of black tie, & I didn't know if it would be appropriate since it's not a grand ballroom. The only black tie weddings I was ever at were held in ball rooms.
