here are a few pics of my dress... in my album

This dress is a whole lota dress, Which I thought I didn't want...

Well our venue in non- traditional (there are pics in album). Since my dress is so elaborate (compared to what I orignally was going for) I'm afraid I'll look out of place.

Our Wedding is Sat. June 7, 2008 in the evening. Can we have a black tie affair?

Thanks Bonnie About the pictures, I forgot my camara & since I live further from the boutique, my cousin got her camara, & e-mailed the pics tonight i 2 e-mails, I'm still waiting to recieve the 2nd one, oue connection has been funky latly. I'll add more pics as I get them.

I thought that black tie -optional was taboo? I think it's a great option. That way they know to dress well if not black tie. That way no one is in a position to get a tux/gown, I like your thinking

Ooh, is it taboo?? I have no idea about these things. My luck, people will show up at my wedding wearing skorts and jean cutoffs.

I went to a wedding in Feb that was 'black tie optional.' It kinda sent out the hint that it was black tie...but the women felt comfortable just wearing a cocktail dress. I actually thought it was a good idea.

Bonnie it's a good idea I'm definily glad you suggested it. The only time I heard of it was w/ an interview on one of those wedding shows where the reply to it was, a wedding is either black tie or it's not. I like the Optional part & I think that would be the best way to do it, thanks

i think u can def have black tie affair ur having a sat night wedding so i def think that would be fine if its waht u want!!

I agree. If it's an evening wedding you can definetly do black tie.And your dress is beautiful!!!

thanks, when I tried it on again for the pics I felt I was in a costume ..

Now that our affair is BTO I'm happy w/ my gown

2. you're the bride-you can do whatever you want! :)

Saturday evening, you can definately have a black tie affair. One opinion, with it being summer, the men will be hot in tux's, but otherwise go for it!

If you want it to be black tie- then go for it- its your wedding. Looking at your dress-which is very pretty!- I dont thinkull look too dressed up if it is not a black tie wedding. Remember if it is a saturday night, people are going to be pretty dressed up regardless. Men will be in suites without being told and ladies will be in dresses as well. And you are the bride so you will stand out because of that. Also, your venue looks like it will be fine for a black tie event as well as a non black tie event.

Thanks, yes that is Renata's The dress is a *Special Design* that only a few boutiques across the country get. There are no pics (except these) on line of the gown, which made it trying to get pics of it.
