Thanks. Those are the original cabinets that were there. Thats the only thing we kept in the kitchen!

Is you basement staircase under the staircase to upstairs? If it is, how deep are the shelves? I wanted to do something like that but didn't know if I'd lose too much space walking downstairs.

We don't have a basement in this house. The shelves are original to the house.
