Pics with Parents

During a meeting with a possible limo company they told us that the parents don't come with you after the ceremony to take pics, say, at the park. That they do them at the reception?

I thought both our families would be there for group family shots. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Pics with Parents

I think it's pretty much whatever you want! Why would the limo company be concerned with your photos??? Are you putting your parents in the limo after the ceremony? And is it putting the passenger count over what the limo will hold? If not, I do not see why that would be any of their concern... But to be sure check with your photographer. I thought you can bring whoever you want... But I could be wrong Good luck with that! Let us know what the outcome is!

Re: Pics with Parents

You can decide what you want. With a 2 hour span after church before the reception my parents will be entertaining back at the house!!

Re: Pics with Parents

Yeah I've heard that too. I think it may be better to do that for us, because I wouldn't want to lug my parents and grandparents back and forth. It'll just be easier for us to do it at the reception hall, but you can do it either way. Maybe you can ask your parents what they would prefer.

Re: Pics with Parents

We are using the time between the church and reception to do ALL of our pictures.. . Extended family and all !! We do not want to be pulled out of our reception. We are telling all the relatives to please wear what they are going to wear to the reception to the church that way we can all go to the reception site and snap away!!! I was at a wedding on Saturday and the bride and groom missed a lot of the party because they were out in the hall taking pictures We want to enjoy ours the only posed shots at the reception will be with friends.
