There is a really nice park with a pond on Marcus Ave. Called Ritter's Pond it's close to the INN. Don't go to far you never know about traffic. It's pass the Lake Succus shopping center once you cross over New Hyde Park road. They just re-did the park so now it's even nicer.
It was my understanding that the grounds at the Inn were going to be completed by the time you guys are getting married. Have they given you a different answer since then ?
We cancelled our slot for photos at Old Westbury Gardens in anticipation of what they are doing there.

I live in New Hyde Park, so lemme think... There is indeed Ritter's Pond, but you have to watch out for geese and geese poop there, lol. There is Christopher Morley in Roslyn, but I really like Sands Point Preserve...its kinda a bit of a drive up north in Port Washington, but just so beautiful.

Hi PPandMP I ASSUME it will be done, but Im planning a plan B and plan C bec. u just never know. And if you've seen it lately...yes they've done a LOT...but it's not quite pretty yet!!!
When is ur wedding? Im 9/23...so Im sweatin' a little. And no, I havent asked them exactly yet. Our final 'walk thru' is 8/27.

You can go to Old West Bury gardens, they're you can take some breath taking photos. I live down the block from the Inn at New Hyde Park.. and am getting married there too. It's coming along great.. there is also the park across from the Garden city hotel.. thats free.

In Floral Park...there is an area called the Centennial Gardens and Bird Sanctuary. I am not sure if you can take pics there or not but it might be worth looking into.
I am getting married at the Inn next summer. I can't wait to see how it comes out and read all your reviews.

You need an appointment and reservation for Old Westbury Gardens, and its not free. The price ranges from $275 to $575. Here is the link for the wedding photography 'contract'
