Well, to make a long story short, my FH and I booked our reception hall through someone who is no longer there. We were told by him that we could get in there early so we could take all of our pictures BEFORE the ceremony, which would mean like 3 hours before the cocktail hour (it's on a Friday night and we're the only wedding there). When I called yesterday, I was told that this is NOT true, meanwhile half the reason we booked was for the pictures in front of the fireplace.
What I need from all of you helpful ladies are some INDOOR photo locations for December. Nassau preferably, or somewhere near the Woodbury/Syosset area would be fine. Please help, I am seriously on the verge of tears and have no clue what to do!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Re: Picture location HELP!! PLEASE!!
how about the EAB Plaza in Uniondale. That is most likey where I will be taking my pictures before my wedding. Its beautiful inside but you need to ask your photographer about the fees, i think you need to pay 175 to use it. but if there is a wedding going onthat day you can't take pictures there.

I am not familiar with the area, so I'm not sure about pics. Are you sure that they will not budge about taking pictures there? What was the reason that you can't? Even though they said it's not true what the other banquet manager said, maybe they could make an exception. Don't give up, just keep asking and explain how upset you are and that you booked for this reason. Good luck.

I agree with Nina, I would approach your Hall again (preferably in person) and sincerely request that they make an exception to allow you to take picutres earlier.
If that doesn't work - EAB is beautiful for pictures and not too far away. I hope it all works out!

EAB
I think is a good choice, we have it reserved in case it rains on our day in October. You do need to get a 'ticket' for your day, because they only let a certain number of brides at a time. good luck! Is any of that stuff about getting in early to take pictures in your contract? Goes to show how you need to get everything in writing when you book, right?

Re: EAB
Thanks for the EAB suggestion. I looked it up online and it said that the photographer is the only one who can book it, so my photographer is going to call to find out the details. Can anyone tell me how long you get to take pictures there.
As for my hall, they said that they can't let me in that early because #1. They may still get a holiday party booked there and #2. it wasn't written in the contract. He said 'please see it from our side' and my response was 'please see it from OUR side and what we were promised when we signed. This is the first wedding we've ever booked, so there are certain things like times that we didn't know needed to be down'. Basically I think it's a lost cause and I'm very upset. I was always the first to recommend my hall. I'm not going to put them down, but I'm not going to jump up and recommend them anymore. If this EAB thing doesn't work out, I seriously don't know what we're going to do...
