I'm not sure where Brentwood is...
but our ceremony was at St. Rose at 3:30 then we went to Old Westbury Gardens for pictures...it's not cheap but it is totally worth it! We made it back to Roslyn for the cocktail hour at 7:00 pm..

Argyle Park
Argyle Park is a beautiful place for pictures. It's on Montauk Highway. Check it out...worth looking into.

Argyle Park.look out for goose poo & alot of bridal parties
We drive by on Saturdays and see alot of bridal parties getting their pictures taken (sometimes 2 or 3 at a time). The photographers we have spoken to do not recommend Argle Lake because of this reason. Also I`ve heard some horror stories regarding goose poop. Just my opinion....Ask your photographer or the vendor board for other options, they seem to know alot of place we wouldn`t even think of. Good Luck..:)

Very True!
We were thinking of pictures at Roslyn Duck Pond but our photographer warned us about the goose poo! It is something to think about. My shoes were a bit grass stained after Old Westbury Gardens, but that's way better than the alternative! Asking photographers is a great idea...

Dowling
This really shouldn't be too far out of the way, since it's in Oakdale on the South Shore--Dowling College. You may need to check into getting photos done there, but I know they have beautiful gardens and buildings.

To Kim5.26.02 - some ideas (long)
Kim, Since you will be going from Massapequa to Brentwood, and want to be able to have time to have photos taken at Brentwood CC, you should definitely try to find something on the travel path there from the Church. Taking Southern State from Massapequa, you could stop at Belmont Lake State Park. It`s right on the north side of the parkway and would keep you in a good line to Brentwood. On the west side of the lake, there is an old mansion where the doorway (facing the parkway) might offer some nice shots as another alternative to the lake. Of course, you`ll probably have to watch out for goose and duck droppings here too especially the closer you go to the lake, but I think it stays pretty clean up by the building, and at least you`re on concrete there, which makes it easier to see. :) Argyle Lake is really not a good place for photos. Eventhough there is a Lake there, a photographer has to be really good at lining up a shot to get a decent backdrop. There are lots of houses, electrical wires and even the LIRR way back in the distance, and there aren`t many trees. Plus, Main Street can get pretty crowded with shoppers and the occasional craft fair. If you do consider Dowling, which might be out of your way, you might want to also consider the Bayard Cutting Aboretum, which is right on Montauk Hwy in Oakdale. It may save you a few minutes as opposed to Dowling and should offer some beautiful photo opportunities. Their number is 631-581-1002. Belmont Lake is 631-667-5055.Welcome New Vendors
