how much time are you guys spending taking pics?? like, between the ceremony and the reception?
We are considering going to Chelsea Manion which is 7 minutes from the North Ritz and about 10 minutes from our church. Ceremony is 230 which should be done and leaving the church after the receiving line and pics around 4......CH is at 530, which we don't have to be there for, but I want to alteast be at the NRC by 6 the latest. Do you think 1 hour is enough time to take pics?? Reason we want to go to chelsea is the fear of rain and not many places indoors to take pics at at the NRC.
So, is an hour/hour and 15 minutes a good and sufficient amount of time for taking a few pics at the mansion?

Re: picture - taking timing question
Yes, you might be a little rushed there but it will be worth it. Plus just let your photographer know the time constrant and he will move you along to the prime photo locations.

You should be fine. We left our church around 4-4:30 and go to our picture location about 5ish and then arrived at NRC just after 6pm. We also had a longer trip than you do.....our church was about 20 min from the picture location, and the pics were about 20 min from NRC.

I think you'll be fine... but you do know that you have to pay for 3 hours at chelsea.. unless nicole worked out a better price for you, but we were told its a 3hr minimum, even if we don't use all 3 hours we have to pay for them. I'm sure you'll be able to get a bunch of pictures within an hour... just have an idea as to what you want, and suggest to the photographer to go to the mansion beforehand and get some ideas too (unfortunately for me, my photographer doesn't live in this state- ps i'm not happy about it)
