Im thinking of having my ceremony at the catering hall. I know tons of people did this, but i am concerned about not having enough time in between the ceremony and the cocktail hour to take pictures, and being pulled from the reception to take pictures.
I want my girls to be able to enjoy the 'bridal suite' and not have to run around during cocktail hour worring about not eating b/c of pictures.
Also any suggestions on having an off-site ceremony????

Hi and congratulations on your engagement!
We got married at our hall. Our ceremony was at 11am. We both chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so he took pics from 8:30-9:30 with his family & BP. I took pics with my family & BP from 9:30 -10:30. Then we did the 'all together' pics during CH. We also asked for 1 & 1/2 hours for CH. Most halls will accomodate you with this.
If you're willing to see your FH before the ceremony than you can possibly get the majority of your pics done before the ceremony.

you can take pictures before the ceremony, that is what we are doing and we're having our ceremony and reception at the same place.

Would you consider taking pictures before the ceremony? That's what I'm doing to save time, take more pictures, and be able to attend the CH.

I would prefer not to see him before, but a 1 & 1/2 hour cocktail hour is not a bad idea.

We opted for that too. We wouldn't have had it any other way...

It cost us $0. There was no fight. They had no problem doing it .

We're doing an hour and a half CH and they are charging us $6pp - not bad when you consider how much people eat and drink at the CH

I just found a place in Woodbury LI that is a wedding chapel....But there is only one!
I will look into the 1.5 hour cocktail hour!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
