I am not sure if I want the photographer at my house taking pics before hand. Anyone else feel this way or is this something I will regret later on?? HELP!

we're taking pics before the ceremony im getting ready at the fox hollow hotel so thats where he'll start with the 'getting ready' pics

I had wanted to keep it traditional and not let him see me before the wedding, but the ceremony is at the reception site. I think we will end up taking them before. I don't think its something I'll regret but I'm sure its a personal thing. Is there an issue that you think you have to take them before?

We are taking pics before, and we may even get ready in our house (if its finished) together.
Im not really traditional, but i really can not kick him out of his own house...and i would like to get ready in my home as well

I honestly dont think I will have enough time to get ready (hair and all) and then have them take pics at house then drive out to Hauppauge where ceremony/reception will be (Im on the border of Nassau and Queens) and THEN take pics with FH who will be getting ready at the hotel next door to RH. Im probably going to have to see FH before ceremony to take pics b/c we dont really want to miss the CH.

Yes you will want them. They turn out really nice But these are photos you can appoint a friend who may feel left out to take.
We are asking our photographer to stay later at the reception instead of following me around in the morning. I want to relax with my friends and dance around in my nickers and veil and not feel weird But we are asking one of my girlfriends to follow the girls around and I will have my camera also (Im a picture fiend) and Jeff's Aunt will do them for the boys
She did that for his twins wedding and some of them were better than the photographers photos, They were nice
So, in short, Yes get photos of the morning, but it doesn't need to be your photographer.

I think I went on a different angle.
Everyone is different. My Girlfirend did it and the day went a lot quicker because they had them done then had the wedding.
She did a grand entrance for him before the photos with the family their and got a few in between the ceremony and reception. It worked out really well

this was a decision it took us a while to come up wth also, but we decided to take pictures before the ceremony as well.
this will allow us to be at the cocktail hour and enjoy every moment of the wedding itself. our photographer is going to still set up that moment for us and capture every second of it

I'm getting ready @ the hotel where we will take our formal pics before our ceremony. My photographer is taking pics of me getting ready I'm excited for it!

I'll be getting ready at the hotel and taking pictures before the ceremony too. They set it up nice so there still is that little bit of suspense....

JMO, but i love those pictures of brides getting into their dresses and their mom's or sister's helping them put on their jewelry...
But it is totally up to you!

You definitely want the photographer to take pics of at least you with the BP before the ceremony. Our photographer will come to wherever I get ready to start taking pics. He'll be there about the time I just get into my dress, no earlier. You definitely want to do this.
ETS: FH & I will not be taking pics of us before the ceremony. I'm traditional and don't want him to see me until I'm walking down the aisle.

All of the girls are getting ready at my house, but I will be getting dresses at the RH so the photog is coming to my house in and am just to get 'getting ready' shots. The second photog is going to FH to get pics of the guys. Then we are seeing each other before the ceremony so we can go to the CH.
I feel like I want pics of EVERYTHING b/c I dont wat to regret it later.

I will actually be getting ready at my parents house and taking pictures there because that's where I grew up. FH and I will be taking pictures before the ceremony however because we want enough time for all pictures the photographer wants to take. Our ceremony is at our RH
