Originally, we were doing pics before the ceremony so that we could enjoy CH. Lately, FH has been saying that seeing me come down the aisle in my dress is the first time he wants to see me that day. I'm torn. I posted on the 09 board but the responses are slow coming in...I need help now!!! Can you really get a lot of pics during CH w/o feeling rushed??

Re: Pictures before or after the ceremony?
Do you have any time in between? I have a huge break in between the ceremony and CH so we're taking pics in between.

Re: Pictures before or after the ceremony?
we're doing pics before the ceremony but our photographer will be shooting the 'wow' effect...fh back will be turned towards me as I approach him and the cameras will be on him when he turns around to see me! I may also change things up a bit before the ceremony like adding the veil then or changing my hairstyle

We're doing ours before. I was the one that was torn about it, but the tradition is quite antiquated and when I looked up the meaning behind it, along with reading an article that someone here posted a long time ago, I swayed in the other direction.
I want to enjoy the CH as much as I possibly can!

this is what we are doing. since we are getting married at the rh we dont have that large gap like other brides who are getting married at a church.
plus we really want to enjoy our ch

Both are in the same place, but I like that wow thing...I also like the idea of adding the veil after, since it will cover my face. He should still get the wow effect. What about just doing the girl photo shoot before and during CH, the entire BP and the guys? Is anyone doing this?

We do not have a gap in between, so we will do the whole 'reveal' and pictures before the ceremony. I am glad though, b/c we will enjoy our ch

Re: Pictures before or after the ceremony?
We are doing pictures before the ceremony and since the reception and ceremony are at the same place will will be meeting each other for pictures somewhere beforehand. Our photographer insured us no worries on capturing that moment when you see each other for the first time. He will get there before me and I will walk over to him I can only assume while his back is facing me.
This gives us time to enjoy CH AND say Hi to most of the guests so we can enjoy the reception as well!!!!

I'm doing it before. Not only does it help the logistics because we're having an afternoon wedding, but even if we were having an evening wedding I'd want to.
While it's a great surprise to see each other down the aisle, you don't really have a private moment for the whole day. I want a private moment between us, so we tell each other how we feel, etc.
I just feel like you're always around people and I'd like the privacy.

Re: Pictures before or after the ceremony?
I'm doing mine b4 because our ceremony is 8pm and I wanted daylight pics plus I love to party and i want to def enjoy the CH. I also want to thank most of guests for coming in the CH so that it doesnt take up too much time in the recpt. What you can do is what we are doing, which is have FH stand at the alter while you walk down and have the photographer take pics of that. He will stil get to see you walk down the aisle in your dress before you take any other pics. That can be your first pic. Just have his turn his back and turn around when you are about to walk down.

My ceremony is at 7pm and I definitely want daytime pics. I love this idea, we can use the ceremony room for the reveal. I reeeaaallly want to enjoy the CH, so this actually works! I can still use the veil idea for the actual ceremony.

We're doing it right after the ceremony. The church is at 6:15 and cocktail hour starts at 8.

we are doing our pics together after the ceremony. me and my girls will be taking our pics before the ceremony as will he and the gm's. I know we are going to miss our CH but to me seeing eachother the first time walking down the isle means a lost to the both of us.

we are doing ours before for a few reasons.. 1. we dont have time in between ceremony and CH 2. we want to go to CH 3. pics are important to us and we dont want to feel rushed 4. i prefer our 'reveal' moment be captured alone, that way at least i can kiss and hug him...i cant do that if i walk down the aisle

We're doing the same...we're paying so much for this day and really want to enjoy every second with family and friends.
