LANDSCAPING!!!! This has been an ongoing month long project.......we had NOTHING...no grass (well, we still have no grass, but that's next...we're now getting a sprinkler system and since the construction has finally stopped, no more wood lying all over the lawn).

We rototilled everything, planted, bought some type of mulch (top dressing)...this took a long time, and now we have PHASE II to start!

So, here what we've done so far...my fav. is the snow fountain cherry tree!

Also wondering where your home is? It is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to wake up every day and look out the window looking at the beach.

Great landscaping!

Did you design it yourself or did you hire a landscape architect and did the labor (which is an awful lot of work in and of itself!)

Kathy absolutly gorgous.

Karen when you wrote landscape architect I started laughing. Not at you but as a funny story about my friends dog. My friends dog was bonkers. I really think the dog should have been in doggie therapy. You couldnt look at the dog in the face, he walked funny and the dog would howl if you said landscape architect. I am not kidding. If you looked at the dog and said plumber, nothing. electrician, nothing. But the minute you said landscape architect OMG watch out that dog went crazy.

Thanks everyone! My father designed it...he's in the garden center business and has been involved with landscaping since he was 16 years old, so I have a professional in the family! Thank GOD!

Everything looks gorgeous! I love your hosta and I'll bet that cherry tree is going to be amazing!

Your view is also gorgeous! Make sure you have a dehumidifier, though! It can get really damp in your house when you're that close to the water. An ex of mine lived on the water and sometimes his couches and even the sheets on the bed would actually be wet just from the humidity in the air!

Luck girl to have such a beautiful home!!!

We've lived here for 3 years and don't have a dehumidifier, and haven't had a problem. Maybe it's because we're on a bluff, so it's not like the water is in our backyard. We do have the central air which cuts the humidity.

Kathy....your landscaping is gorgeous!! It must be so nice to just sit outside and look at all your beautiful work.

I was wondering if your dad had a hand in any of that work.....its really is beautiful!!
