He's cute. I have a min. schnauzer. (spelling?)She is 6 and is very hyper. Our dog run in circles for min. at a time unless we stop her. Does yours. Also is he very pushy?

Thank you... And you spelled schnauzer correctly!

She is only a puppy still, turns one year in a month, but she has never been 'too hyper' she plays when we want to play with her like a normal dog and loves to run around in the yard but she is not hyperactive at all.

She kind of goes off of what we do- if we are relaxing, she is relaxing. If we are running around with her and throwing toys- she will chase them and play. When we get ready for bed- she jumps on the bed, she knows that it's time to sleep.

Pushy... hmmm... Pushy like what exactly? Like, do you mean that your dog wants what it wants?? Meaning, he will cry until you give him what he is begging for?? Can you explain more? B/c Charlotte-- IDK, she has her personality traits but I don't think pushy is one of them.

You know what helped us a lot?? Ceasar the Dog Whisperer... If you buy his book 'Ceasar's Way' it's is excellent!!! Also, just by watching his TV show on animal planet has really helped us be able to train her so well.

Ceasar feels that any sort of behavioral problem that is 'nagging' and/or constant is a sign of some kind of anxiety in the animal. So, if you practice his 'calm submissive' behavior traits (which you can see on the show or in the book) you can be able to break the dog of things that they do-- like being hyperactive or 'pushy'-- any bad trait really-- which is so nice!

dani, the dog is sooo adorable!!! me and the fi have been researching good breeds for us. we are huge dog people.

anyhow, we really want a mellow dog that doesnt require constant attention and activities.

we also want a portable dog but nothing too small...

we'll def. look into a schnauser!!!!love that it doesnt shed by the way!!!! fi has allergies...

anyhow, does it come in brown? i have a thing for brown dogs...

Does it come in brown!!! LOL YOU ARE SO FUNNY!!! It's like we are talking about a sweater or something hahahaha!!!

They have dark salt and pepper, light salt and pepper, all white (rare) or gorgeous jet black... No 'brown'-- brown is actually considered a sign of bad breeding if it is in their coats-- it is considered a 'defect' or a 'fault' for show.

But all of their colors are so adorable-- I really cannot recommend any other dog as much as the schnauzer!! They are so obedient-- and just adorable. Last night, we were sitting watching TV and she was on the couch next to us (sitting like a person) like on her BUTT with her legs in front of her just sitting upright watching TV-- she watches TV-- watches things move on it and sits like a person-- the breed is known for that and for being very smart... She knows my facial expressions- she'll look right in my eyes and know what I'm thinking. It's amazing-- it's hard to explain- it's just a connection

She is the best dog I could have ever asked for - so cute and so sweet, so well behaved and listens... She is fun and calm at the same time- she does what we want- lays with us when we are on the couch, runs when we throw a toy, etc.

She is great to take places- she is so easy to tote! She is only like 10 pounds (males are larger) so get a female...

She is so easy- no shedding, no muss, no fuss!

If you like a brown dog and you are really stuck on that- I can only suggest a brussels griffon (dog from as good as it gets)... They are a great breed.

Ehh she lives a privilaged life- don't get me wrong. But we are VERY strict with her and her behavior-- we do not allow anything that we don't want her to be doing.

She is terrified of Vinny lol
