Thank you again to everyone!!! I know it say it alot, but all of your support really is so wonderful to read!!! You guys really, really, really make us feel good. When I start to get nervous and wonder what the heck Im doin..I just have to read all of your wonderful posts and know that we CAN do this...I just get nervous sometimes, but I think its part of being a first time parent, let alone a first timeto parent to two grown boys..but I cant say it enough how much I truly from the bottom of my heart value and appreciate each and every one of your posts! THANK YOU! You guys are amazing!!!!

Oh thank you!!!!!!! I do want to spoil them.my first insticnt is to spoil them rotten..they have been through hell..but Im told they will become Americanized very quickly, and Im afraid they'll turn into little brats
I was just thinking today, that when they get to our house..it will be atleast their fourth place..first was their birth family, then their relatives, then the oprhanage and then my house. Thats ALOT for boys 7 and 8. So Im going to have to find an even balance of how I can 'successfully spoil'them without them being brats! If anyone has any ideas..Im definately open to any suggestions!

Alicia - I think you can safely spoil them without turning them into brats as long as your are teaching them manners, responsibility and things like that at the same time. If they are going to get allowance - maybe have them do some age-appropriate chores at the same time? Just some thoughts...

Thank you! Thank you so much!!! I am cleaning out 'my room' now, because it will be the boys room now..It feels good..just knowing that this room will be filled with clothes and toys etc very soon. We do plan to give them an allowance, Dex already made it clear that they will NOT clean the cat box..heheheh he said its a disgusting job..we figured just making their beds, brushing their teeth and putting their clothes in their laundry basket will be HUGE.. and a good start. I will teach them manners, without a doubt..I love children, but bratty ones I cant let slide,
I know in their orphanage they are taught to make their beds and told they will be doing chores in America, but I cant think of chores other than what I said. I really just want them to come into our home and enjoy being a child, they probably havent done much of that and they need it. I do know one thing, we are going to give them extra in their allowance because they will have to give it back( just like a buck a month) to sponsor a child, I think this will help teach them to give back and teach them responsibility. My instinct is to give them the world, to buy them everything and to take them everywhere..I know though that I have to limit what we do, to not overwhelm them and to also not give thme a false sense of reality. I wish this were easier..they have personalities that I dont know yet..so I know I have to be careful. UGh..just venting as usual. Thanks for listening!!
