Ok.....when viewing these photos you need to look for the POTENTIAL the house has lol
It's been on the market for over a year now...so the landscape is SERIOUSLY overgrown plus they were smokers so the walls are yucky! But we're gonna take our time working on it and making it into something that we've dreamed of (sooo cheesy, I know but Hey, it's to fun!) it's located RIGHT outside of Huntington Village (couldn't ask for a greater location!) We could walk to town!!
You are so lucky to have such a lovely new home with land and the ability to fix it up! House prices on LI are staggering! I am so impressed with any young couple that can afford to take the step of home ownership! You must be thrilled!
We closed on our own home in July but we live in Waterbury, CT so the cost of our home was probably half of most homes on LI.
Good luck with all the work! HGTV and TLC and the DIY network will soon become the only channels you watch! They help a ton with ideas - oh and don't forget to check out IKEA! If you are into the more modern and contemporary feel you can get quite a bargin!

ohhhh Wow Good Luck ~ I have one of the ugliest bathrooms 2... we have to still gutt it out! I would to see pics along the way...before and after shots are the best!

Congratulations!! Welcome to the world of home ownership! It is very tiring but worth it. FH and I will be in our house for a year, and there's still so much to do. We're still telling everyone it has potential! LOL Little by little though, our houses will become our dream homes!
