Re: Pictures Outside
Any more in Queens or Long Island?
I am looking for a park, with flowers, lakes and gazebos. I went to Queens Botanical Garden but I didn't like it there.

Re: Pictures Outside
The grounds at Caffe on the Green in Bayside are part of the NYC Department of Parks - actually part of the Clearview Golf Course - which is public. It is beautifully maintained and very close to Leonards. Big plus - easy parking and nice restrooms and free!!

Re: Pictures Outside
Checkout their website - I think it's www.caffeonthegreen.com - the flowers are amazing. They used to do alot of weddings - there is a gazebo and little pond - but now I think they primarily do showers and rehearsal dinners - more of a restaurant setting. Good Luck!!!

Re: Pictures Outside
all of the places mentioned are great for taking pictures. They also all have a fee and you must fill out a form. Only sites like the one mentioned in Queens at Caffe on the Green are free because it is N.Y. State Parks Department property. I believe you can just go there and take pictures you don't need to call. It is beautiful and full of flowers of all kinds, it is quite breathtaking.

Re: Pictures Outside
I'm taking mine at our reception hall, they have many outdoors gardens for pictures, but I know that there's a very small park in Bayside and many brides go there to take pictures, the park has a pond & when we were looking at reception halls, one of the sales people recommended it. I don't know the exact name of the park, but if you are going east on Northern Blvd., you make a right at the last intersection before the entrance to the cross Island (where the burger king is). The street # is probably something in the 220's. The park is about 1/4 of a mile on your right. It's worth looking into, especially since your getting married at Leonards, it less than 15 minutes dow the road.

Re: Pictures Outside
we are taking some of our outside pictures at the SUNY Farmingdale Botanical Gardens - it is beautiful in there - there are tons of flowers - willow trees -fountains - water spots and a brand new gazebo - my friend had her pictures there and they were beautiful.
the price was $150 - but if rains you get your money back - that is a bonus
