I am still looking. Actually, so far find a photography has been one of the most stressful tasks! I am not enjoying this search at all. Everyone I really like is above my intended budget.

I booked with ADA Studio. The package that we created is about 2500. They do amazing work!

We booked Verdi - a vendor on here - without looking at anyone else. We wanted a different approach - something more journalistic and nothing traditional - and liked the idea of the husband/wife team. We have them for 10 hours and get about 900 proofs & our album (don't remember how many pics) for $3500. Parent's albums are $300 a piece (we need 3) and the TY's are extra as well as any larger photos that we'd want. So we'll probably be closer to $5500, I'm guessing.

This part has been so hard for me as well! All the ones I liked were $3+ - that's just seems crazy to me. And I just want a 50pic album and a couple enlargements for our families....

To answer your question of what I am looking for Valenia.. its hard to explain. There is this one photographer that I loved.. its at www.photoinstyle.com I love the airbrushing that he does, and makes you look like a model. Also, I like his colour contrasts and the pics. However, he is VERY expensive for my budget. So I would like something like that, with that skill, for a lower budget.

Gail, Alot depends on what style you like. In my experience, photojournalistic style is a little more $ but we wanted that. If you prefer the romantic, posed style, you will probably be able to get a better/lower price. We're going with Full View Studios, it's the one owner, a 2nd photographer to do b&w photojourn., an assistant, and the video guy. Most will work with you somewhat in price. Duval in Wantagh had really good prices but not much in the way of photojourn. stuff. I know several couples who used them. We're definitely on a budget but pictures is one of the things we didn't want to skimp on. Good luck!

I used Glenmar Studio in Roslyn. My proofs are amazing! I booked in August of 2001, so my prices are probably way off by now, but our package was in the $2,500-$3,000 range. There are bigger packages too.

I had booked Steve with patken and thier work is amazing and their prices were really good, I got alot of pictures so I don't want to tell you my price and scare you but it was well worth the amount I was getting!!
I used VIP...It was about $2500 booked in 2001...we got 1000 proofs...a 60 pic album...parent folios (not albums)...a bunch of 8x10s and 5x7s (for family members)...an engagement shoot...2 photographers...negatives
most photographers don't include airbrushing...its usually an added charge afterwards
I LOVE all my proofs and my TY was so beautiful. I already got 2 calls today from people complimenting them!

Park avenue Studios house photographer of the bayview house got the platinum package ( ) thoroughly pleased and it was 3995.00

I used Ed Collins Photography. One reason I used him is because he's located in Manhattan, which is much more convenient for me than LI. We're probably getting a package which includes 40-60 picture album, an 8x10, a couple of 5x7, and all the proofs for $2700. His website is www.edcollinsphotgraphy.com. I just started my seach so far we looked at Jefrey Studios around $3000. ADA was $2500, and Ray O'Connor was $3400. It all depends on what you want!

I am using Park Avenue. My album, parents album, a few extra pics and TY's, an another proof album of just B&W photojournalisti shots with 2 photographers and a lighting assistant~$2500.

I am using Silver Fox in Mineola for my photos and video. They let you customize your own package so the prices vary. I am paying about $5400 and have 1 video guy and 2 photographers (1 of them B&W). If you need any more info you can FM mail me.
