Pictures Places

So even though the North Ritz has beautiful grounds, I still want to take pics between the church & RH. Has anyone been thinking the same thing?

Places I've looked into:

Old Westbury Garden
Vanderbilt Mansion
De Seversky Mansion
Sands Point Preserve
Oheka Castle
Planting Fields Arboretum


Has anyone been to or seen any of these places or have any other ideas? TIA

Those seem like really great choices...is there a fee for using the site to take pictures at a place like the mansions?

If we go for pictures anywhere it will be to Jones Beach boardwalk...that's where we met.

We want to take pics between the church and RH as well! Thanks so much for the list I heard that Old Westbury Gardens also has a place to pics inside just in case... I wonder if that is true? I will let you girls know if I find anything out about it!

We are looking into using Vanderbilt Mansion..its like a $250 fee to take pics

Vanderbilt Mansion Grounds are beautiful! They do have a fee of around $250 and they charge extra for different areas on the property as far as I was told.

You can also try The Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale soo pretty!

Old Westbury Gardens looked beautiful online. For us it would cost $475 + $50 extra bc we are more than 20 people. It is only for an hr & a half. The price is different depending on what time of day you do pics there. We picked the latest time so it was the most expensive. They do not do indoor pics unless it rains. They give you the option for indoor or a refund.


I have since moved on from looking at that place. I really can't see spending money like that to stand on someone's property!

Thanks for this, I had no idea! That's pretty crazy...

I am spending the entire day at the Sand Castle but I was thinking of splitting to get some nice pics in a park somewhere but I just don;t know if it's worth the effort. Staying in one place may be less stressful and make the day go smoother. I'm not sure yet.

Sorry that I have no suggestions though! I'm from Brooklyn!

i love vanderbuilt museum!! its out of the way from where my RH and church are but we are thinking of going there before the church or even on another day LOL
i dont know if this is too simple but there is a nice park with a gazebo in garden city by seventh street/garden city hotel. i see alot of brides take pics there....plus its FREE

Crashing, but Planting Fields is $100 for the permit on the grounds and $300 if you want to go inside the greenhouse. They were very nice when I spoke to them.
