You should see if they would pass them after dinner, esp to those dancing on the dance floor
and add mini shots of vanilla milk shakes!!

i used to work for an off premise caterer and the things that they came up with were amazing!!!
thats why I have such a hard time with all these halls, because most of them dont think outside the box and I want something different!

Oh gosh, I mean I felt the same way and I didn't even have an insider's perspective! Have you narrowed down to any options? The Woodlands (I am biased obvi) has been so gracious and flexible and accommodating with any idea I've come up with. The house is pretty much ours for the evening. It's been a really cool experience!

FH wants to kill me, but he agrees with me. we are very easy going, but at the same time I want something diff, like a mansion or beach or vineyard, but there are so many other restrictions (like the church is in hicksville, we have a TON of oot guests, all the site fees that go along with unique venues its so tiring! Im going to look at Bridgeview Yacht Club tomorow

If a mansion is what you want then DEF check out the Woodlands ASAP! I am getting the sense you will love it! It is in Woodbury / Syosset which is super duper close to H-ville! Its a restored mansion with a ballroom addition....one wedding at a time....VERY flexible regarding attempts to personalize! Based on what you're saying, I really think you'll LOVE IT! We did NOT want a standard catering hall...or anything along those lines. The woodlands has a very different feel, trust me.

I used to work for the singhs (the people that own the woodlands) and I know the place very well. who are you working with as your BM?

this is another twist on some fun passed items 'Pigs in a Blanket' its pumpernickle bread with cream cheese and smoked salmon and fish roe as the 'blanket'
